May 2022, 5 – A BATHING APE®︎ is pleased to announce a limited capsule collection with HERON PRESTON. This unique collaboration between the Japanese streetwear brand and the American DJ/designer reflects the diverse cultures behind both brands.

Using a design principle that Heron calls "instant language," he honors the heritage and history of each piece while adding a little of his own language.

Heron's "instant language" is based on three elements: found objects, prototypes and uniforms. By incorporating these elements into his designs, he aims to create unorthodox designs that stimulate our synapses the moment we see them, while simultaneously inciting curiosity.

The workwear jacket and utility pants reflect the duality of both brands. In 2015, Heron PrestonBAPE®As a tribute toBAPE We created the sneaker "Street Sweeper" as an unauthorized remix of STA™️. Only 10 styles were produced, but this shoe became a hot topic on the Internet, and four years later in 4, the two brands finally met officially and collaborated.
