Launched last winter, the "BAPE® Following on from "Performance All Weather (BPAW)," we are teaming up with Kuraishi again this season to present our latest collection, presenting a new narrative that connects the city, nature, and the cosmic reality in which we live.
This season's theme is "The Whole Earth Is Already in Space."
Reinterpreting Buckminster Fuller's "Spaceship Earth" concept for a modern generation, the piece conveys an aesthetic and emotional message that traverses urban grids, mountain trails, and the unknown fields in between, recognizing that the environment in which we live our daily lives is itself part of a planet navigating infinite space.
Philosophy woven into performance
While FW25 explored "winter durability," SS26 focuses on "spring mobility" and "adaptability to changing climates." Based around high-performance materials with waterproof, windproof, and breathable properties, the designs support outdoor activities while also providing comfort for urban life.
BAPE®Through this collection, Kuraishi encourages the wearer to reconnect with the Earth, proposing clothing that allows us to live proactively as part of the Earth, navigating space, rather than as something to be observed from afar.

About Kazuki Kuraishi Kuraishi）
Born in Tokyo in 1975. After graduating from high school, he moved to Colorado to dedicate himself to snowboarding and mountain biking. He then moved to New York to study graphic arts. After returning to Japan, he has been based in Tokyo and worked as a creative director and graphic artist for various fashion brands, including adidas Originals, CASHCA, and KAPPA. He has also worked on numerous record covers for musicians such as Ian Brown and Tommy Guerrero, and has developed his creative work in a wide range of fields.
He is currently active mainly through his own fashion label, "A.FOUR Labs DUSTNATION." He is involved in a variety of collaborations, including working with art director Tetsuya Nagato and Studio Ar.Mour with James Lavelle (UNKLE). In 2018, he was appointed designer for THE NORTH FACE APAC's global design project team. Furthermore, from the 2021/22 season, he has been the designer of DESCENTE's snowboard and freeski line.
He is also active in a wide range of media, including music as a member of the band "is and ism" with NAOTO (delofamilia). In 2012, he published a book titled "Odds and Ends," which archived his favorite items, not just fashion items.
